The Protos safety helmet from PFANNER® is a perfect product in many ways, which perfectly protects the head in forestry, during woodwork or in tree care and impresses with its outstanding wearing comfort and integral system. Eight times more security
Protos® safety helmets offer the largest field of vision compared to all currently tested helmets on the market. The patented neck protection shell from Protos protects the back of the head in the event of falls or impacts and prevents the risk of a skull base fracture. The large surface of the helmet in the stylish two-tone combination offers up to 35% more visible field. The increased visibility offers the worker additional protection in difficult visibility conditions. The sophisticated damping construction inside the helmet absorbs impacts and does not transfer them to the head and spine. This is due to the 3-point suspension and the optional shock absorber, which is already integrated as standard in the Protos® Integral Arborist. The integrated hearing protection, which is always on the head in the active and passive state, offers additional impact protection at the level of the ears, temples and parts of the jaw. The ingenious and adjustable ventilation system offers not only perfect ventilation but also additional impact protection.

The integral hearing protection not only makes it easy to wear thanks to its design, it also protects against getting caught on branches or undergrowth. The contact pressure can be adjusted to suit the wearer's needs. The deep and adjustable neck shell enables easy and perfect fixation without having to use a chin strap. The Protos forestry helmet can therefore be opened or closed with one hand and always fits perfectly. The active ventilation system ensures a balanced air flow ratio inside thanks to its ventilation channels on the top. The sliders on the helmet allow you to react optimally to any weather conditions. The visor or goggles are prevented from fogging up and sweat is optimally wicked away. A special guide for the chin strap ensures that it does not slip under the hearing protection and negatively affect the wearing comfort and noise insulation. As in PFANNER® jackets, trousers and shoes, the Protos forestry helmet uses Klima-Air technology. This offers excellent transport of sweat through its wide support pads. All functions on the Protos can be operated with two fingers. Such as the ear muffs, which can be guided into the integrated garage between the head and the helmet.
Sustainable Production
The Austrian manufacturer sets a clear standard here without having to discuss the ecological footprint at length. Every component must come from the region and travel as short a distance as possible. Protos Safety helmets are developed and produced in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Final assembly takes place in PFANNER®'s own factory in Hohenems by its own qualified personnel. This not only ensures sustainability but also extremely high safety standards.

This ingenious idea means that the helmet can be upgraded to suit your own taste and requirements. After the five-year service life, all parts of the helmet can be transferred to a new shell, saving you a lot of money. In addition to a chin strap, various visors and a neck protector, the Protos also allows you to replace wear parts such as the headband, the ear protection pads or the insulation insert.
